Ohio State WrestlingOhio State’s already-strong Class of 2027 got another boost with a verbal commitment from two-time California state finalist Jesse Grajeda. Grajeda, ranked #35 overall and ninth nationally at 144 lbs, has been a top performer in California throughout his high school career. He’s a two-time CIF state finalist, a two-time Doc Buchanan finalist, and has earned Fargo All-American honors at both the 16U and Junior levels. Nationally, he also placed seventh at the 2023 UWW U17 World Team Trials, adding to an already impressive résumé. Grajeda chose Ohio State after visits to Arizona State, Iowa, NC State, and Oregon State. Projected to grow into a 157-pounder, he should fit well into the Buckeyes’ lineup alongside rising talent like true freshman Maddox Shaw.
